Jeffrey A Lutz, CMTPT

Jeffrey A Lutz, CMTPT

Board Certified
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist

The Pain Treatment & Wellness Center was founded in December 2001 in Greensburg, PA by Jeff Lutz, CMTPT to aid those suffering from Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS).

Since then, the practice has grown to what it is today -- a moderately sized myotherapy/massage clinic which thrives on physician and word-of-mouth referrals.

Jeff is a Board Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist and has been in practice since 2001. He served on the Executive Committee of his professional association, The National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists (NAMTPT) for 5 and 1/2 years, where he held the Public Relations Chair for 3 years and was Vice President for 2.5 years. Jeff's most notable achievement was the redesign (with the assistance of Erich at Sillett Designs) of www.myofascialtherapy.org. The redesign was part of an effort to provide information to the public about Myofascial Pain Syndrome and trigger points.

Jeff is also an instructor at the Pittsburgh School of Pain Management where he teaches muscular anatomy and basic palpation skills. He also travels to Quakertown, PA, which is just north of Philadelphia, to teach an intro course on Myofascial Pain to massage therapy students at the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy

Jeff maintains a professional standing within his organization by attending a minimum of 20-40 continuing education credits per year.

Jeff's commitment to his patients/clients is that he guarantees a noticeable change in pain within 4-6 properly scheduled visits. If a resolution does not occur in that time frame a person will be referred to an appropriate health care provider for treatment. He believes that every person, no matter how "textbook" the symptoms, is a unique individual who presents with different variables, regarding their lifestyles, and strives to find the true cause of their pain. Jeff is currently doing coursework to fulfill his dream of becoming a physician or physician assistant so that he may gain access to a wider cross section of pain patients and thus, make a greater impact to those who suffer with myofascial pain.
